Sebaceous gland enlargement. Large oil (sebaceous) glands on your face look like small pink-yellow pimples but they tend not to go away. Occasionally, larger lesions can be mistaken for skin cancer, and a small skin biopsy may be necessary to make the distinction. “Normal” sebaceous gland enlargement can be removed by gentle cautery. The CO2 laser is very helpful if there are many lesions present. Retinoic acid creams can be helpful in preventing new lesions.
